Joseph Coyle invented the egg carton (viol) in 1911.
Joseph Coyle was commercially a publisher and journalist, but he was in the right place at the right time to build his legacy and change the egg world forever.
He overheard an argument between a farmer and a hotel owner whose eggs were broken from being carried in a basket. Coyle took a newspaper and set to work creating a cardboard shape with egg-sized holes to keep the eggs safe for shipping. He started making them by hand, then mechanized the process and patented it. He later sold his newspaper to move to Vancouver, establish egg carton factories, and it became history. Today, millions of egg viols are produced every day in many countries of the world.
Aşka Makina also provides services in the production of egg tray machine lines, assembly and operation of the factory.
